If you are not a Christian, you are still welcome here, as long as you abide by our rules.  In fact, we encourage you to visit us and see what God has done for us personally.

By using this site, you agree to abide by the following rules.  Hearts Joined in Prayer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify these rules, without notice or warning.  It is your sole responsibility to regularly review these rules and ensure your compliance with them.

The rules of this forum apply to all posts, avatars, user titles, signatures, photos, and private messages.  The Administrators and Moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any messages, and / or delete the account of any users that are in violation of the established rules of this forum.

You will accept that any comments made in this forum are the views of the individual making the post, and Hearts Joined in Prayer and its owners and staff will not be held responsible for any comments posted.

1.    Messages:  Messages posted in the forums must be polite and free of any personal attacks, threats, crude or sexually explicit language, rude comments and innuendo.

2.    Blasphemy:  You will NOT mock or make any derogatory remarks about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity, God's Church, the Body of Christ, or Christianity in general.  Any such remarks will be immediately removed and Hearts Joined in Prayer reserves the right to remove the offending user's account without warning.

3.    Promotion & Proselytizing:  You will not promote or proselytize beliefs or religions or than Christianity.  For the purpose of this forum, Christianity and the elements of its faith shall be defined as described in the Apostle's Creed:

    and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

We at Hearts Joined in Prayer recognize that there are many different Christian traditions (Protestant and Catholic) and feel that a person's choice of doctrine is a personal matter.  We agree to focus on the commonalities and not the differences of the various 'Christian faiths' for the sake of the unity of the Body of Christ.

4.    Passing Judgment:  If someone disagrees with you, do not immediately assume that they are, or accuse them of being, not truly saved.  There are differences of opinion in translating scripture and doctrines.

5.    Spiritual Advising:  No person(s) shall specifically advise another publicly on how to pray or how to 'get prayers' answered', nor will such advise be given through private messages, unless it is asked for or the two or more members know each other personally.  Hearts Joined in Prayer strongly suggests that each member seek a spiritual adviser that they know and trust personally, and have easy access to on a regular basis.

6.    Controversial Topics:  The following topics will not be used to harass, embarrass, degrade, or attack any other members in the forum.  Neither shall any promotions be made in favor of these issues / lifestyles.

7.    Antagonizing and Harassing:  You will not insult, belittle, mock, or personally attack other members or groups of members.  Use of derogatory nicknames in reference to other members is prohibited.  Do not goad another member or start 'call-out threads'.  Harassment of another member is strictly prohibited.  Do not make another member's experience on this site miserable.  This includes, but is not limited to, gossiping or spreading rumors about another member, or persistently attacking them in the open forums.  If you have a problem with a member, contact them privately; do not air it publicly.  Do not threaten another member--publicly or privately.  Do not report another member out of spite.  Respect another member's request to 'cease contact'.

8.     Prayer Requests:  Each member has a right to and is encouraged to make prayer requests.  We believe in the power of unified prayers.

No prayer shall be used for the purpose of spreading gossip or defamation of character.  If the staff at Hearts Joined in Prayer suspects that prayer requests are being used in this manner, the post(s) will be edited or deleted.  If such behavior continues, Hearts Joined in Prayer and its staff reserve the right to delete the user's account and ban them from this site.

9.    Confidentiality & Privacy:  Respect all other member's right to confidentiality and privacy.  Don't publicly release the contents of another member's private communications without permission of the author.

Note:  In sending a private message through the forum of Hearts Joined in Prayer, you acknowledge that the receiver has the right to submit a copy to the staff for review in the event of an investigation pertaining to attempts to undermine the forum rules or policies via campaigns, petitions, or protests, or pertaining to personal harassment.  The staff of Hearts Joined in Prayer will not release copies of said messages publicly, and will only use them for the sole purpose of determining if the forum rules have been violated.

Don't publicly disseminate personally identifiable information, including, but not limited to, your home address, phone number, social security number, or credit card information.  You may place your email addresses and instant messenger information in your profile.  Be cautious about what information you choose to disclose online.

10.    One Account Per Person:  Additional accounts will be deleted.  Banned members who are found registering under an alternate account will be banned immediately.

11.    Disruptive Behavior:  Members and guests will not disrupt the peace and harmony of the site.  Disruptive behavior includes, but is not limited to, the rehashing of alleged grievances or disputes; publicly complaining about posts or threads submitted in the forums; or ranting about Hearts Joined in Prayer or its staff.

12.    Vulgarity or Profanity:  Members and guests will not use profanity or foul language (which includes using punctuations to bypass any profanity filters) in your postings.  Do not post graphic or sexually explicit images or text.  Do not violate community standards.  The staff will remain the sole and final arbiter of what does and does not violate community standards.

Racist, hateful, sexist (discussions regarding certain biblical interpretations on the roles of men and women will not be considered 'sexist' under this rule), or abusive language is strictly prohibited.

13.    Spamming or Advertising:  Do not repetitively post similar or identical posts or threads.  Do not advertise commercial products or services, promote or link to other message boards (unless previously approved by Hearts Joined in Prayer staff members) or post links to pornographic sites, hate sites, alternative lifestyle sites, other religious belief (including atheism and agnosticism) sites, etc.

14.    Legalities:  Do not promote illegal activity.  Do not violate the copyright of others.  Do not promote another's work as your own.

15.    Satanism:  Satanism is strictly prohibited in this forum.

16.    Brinking:    Do not push the boundaries of the rules.  Staff will enforce these rules based on the spirit of the text, not the letter.

17.    Staff Disciplinary Actions:  Do not discuss staff disciplinary actions publicly.  Members who feel that they have been unfairly reported or given a warning may appeal said actions by contacting a staff member.  Do not complain publicly in the forums, and do not discourage other members, privately or publicly, from reporting possible forum abuse.

18.    Campaigning:  Attempts to undermine these rules or policies via campaigns, petitions, or protests will result in a ban.

While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message.  Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to the forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators, or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.

You agree to not post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any applicable laws.  Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned.
