I have a neighbor named Celia. A few months back, she had to have a double bypass due to a heart attack. There is a lady that has been staying there for several weeks now, helping her out. I got a chance to talk to this lady today, and asked how Celia is doing. She said, "It's coming along slowly, but she's gained some of her strength back. The doctors hope she will be ready for her second surgery soon."
I asked, "They have to operate on her heart again?"
The lady told me, "No. She needs to gain back some more strength so she is healthy enough for the skin graft to take when they amputate her leg."
Celia is a very reserved and solitary type person, and rarely talks to any of the neighbors, so I don't know if she has a relationship with Jesus or not. I don't know if she has any joy in her life, but she has seemed very down every time any of the people in our neighborhood has any contact with her. So, when you pray for her recovery, please also pray that if she doesn't know the Lord, that she would come to know him now... that He would fill the void in her life, and give her true peace and joy.

Father, I thank you that you are our healer and that you know cicumstances in Cecilia's life. You also know if she is saved or not. If she is not I pray you would come into her life and you would soften her heart from the circumstances she has gone through. Father I thank you that you work miracles in our life too. So I pray for a miraculous healing in her body and that she will not have to loose any limbs and that you would preserve her body from loosing anything. Lord I also pray you will use this as a testimony in her life of your goodness and grace. I also pray you would give her strength, hope and joy right now. In Jesus name amen!

Annie said that Celia had part of her leg amputated, and is slowly recovering now. She's been having to go to lots of doctor appointments for follow up from the amputation and double bypass surgery, as well as to try to get her diabetes under control. All of these trips have been very exhausting for her and her activity, of course, has been very limited. Annie says that has been hard on her since she is usually a very active person. Please continue to keep Celia and Annie (they lady who is helping her) in your prayers.
